The Mavericks in Mexico. It is going to happen again.
Dallas will play a regular season game in January at the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City. As part of the NBA’s involvement with playing games internationally, the Mavs will be joined by the San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns.
Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News reported a source confirmed that the Mavericks will be involved in an international game against the Phoenix Suns. Dallas will be the visitor for the game.
Dwain Price of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram also reported the Mavs will play the Suns Jan. 14.
The NBA is expected to release its full schedule in late July or early August.
In December 1997, the Mavericks fell to the Rockets 108-106 in the NBA's first regular-season game in Mexico.
