Man Shot By Police at Dallas Airport Booked at Hospital

A man shot last week by a police officer outside a Dallas airport after a domestic disturbance has been booked but remains hospitalized Monday, officials say.

Shawn Nicholas Diamond was booked Sunday on charges of aggravated assault on a public servant and assault-family violence with offensive contact.

Jail records listed no bond information or attorney for the 29-year-old from Edgewood, Maryland.

Dallas police say Diamond struck his ex-girlfriend and battered her car with a traffic cone and large landscaping rocks outside the terminal at Dallas Love Field. An officer shot Diamond after he advanced with rocks in his hands, Dallas Police Chief David Brown said.

Diamond remained at Parkland Memorial Hospital for treatment of an unknown number of gunshot wounds. Brown said his condition Friday was stable.
