Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire on an SUV and injured a man as he was driving home.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. near the El Capitan apartment complex on El Capitan Drive in Dallas.
The victim told police he had just dropped off a relative and was driving home when he was followed out of the apartment complex and shot.
The victim's SUV was hit three times by gunfire. One of the bullets hit the victim.
Police say the victim is in serious condition at the hospital.
Dallas police are looking for a white Chevy Impala in connection to the shooting. They do not have a license plate or a suspect description at this time.
