A Fort Worth, Texas, man has drowned on the Oklahoma side of Lake Texoma in southern Oklahoma.
The Oklahoma Lake Patrol says 38-year-old Adrian Sanchez drowned Sunday afternoon while trying to rescue a child in the Fobb Bottom area of the lake.
Troopers say Sanchez jumped from a boat just after noon Sunday to help the child after the boat drifted away from the child and disappeared under the water.
The child was rescued by a person on a personal watercraft.
Sanchez's body was found about 4:45 p.m. in about 20 feet of water.
