Fort Worth police said an officer was injured when a truck crashed into his police cruiser Thursday morning.
The patrol officer was responding to an abandoned vehicle call on eastbound Interstate 30 near Alta Mere Drive at about 7:15 a.m. As the officer turned on his emergency lights and began to slow down, a man driving a pickup truck collided with the police car, police said.
Police said the officer, a 27-year veteran, was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
The driver has not been cited, but police said they are still investigating the wreck.
