A man has been arrested for kidnapping his girlfriend in Grandview on Friday.
Johnson County Sheriff said that at about noon on Friday, deputies received a call about a kidnapping in the Eagle Ridge Mobile Home Park in the 8300 block of CR 409 in Grandview.
Officials said that the mother of the woman who was kidnapped called police and told them that her daughter had been kidnapped out of the shower by Ricardo Martinez, the daughter’s estranged boyfriend. The mother said that she had called her daughter’s phone and heard her screaming for help in the back ground.
Police said that deputies were given the description of the car that Martinez was driving and they spotted him traveling southbound on I-35W.
Police said that the daughter was found safe in the passenger seat and police arrested Martinez for aggravated kidnapping.
