Hundreds Line Up for Stock Show ‘Move In'

Competitors vying for millions in auction money

A big crowd turned out in anticipation of big money at the annual Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo's Junior Sale of Champions.

Hundreds of trucks and livestock trailers lined up late Monday and early Tuesday in the east parking lot of Farrington Field in preparation of "move in" early Tuesday morning.

Tuesday's arrival of animals is the largest of its kind at the Stock Show each year, according to show organizers. The exhibitors are vying for an opportunity to auction their livestock at the annual Sale of Champions.

Last year resulted in a record $3.7 million in bids for the prize animals. The grand champion steer — named Bob Marley by its 17-year-old owner from Round Rock — fetched a record $240,000.
