Police seek second man who escaped

An Arlington homeowner shot and killed a man breaking into his home.

The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of Carthage Way.

When officers arrived at the south Arlington neighborhood they found a man dead inside the house.

Two men wearing ski masks broke into the house, the homeowner said. The homeowner confronted them with a gun and one of the burglars was killed while the other managed to escape, police said.

Police are searching for the second man.

The second suspect is described as over 6 feet tall, wearing blue jeans, a white sweater with crowns on the sweater and purple gloves.

It is not known whether the homeowner will face any charges.
