Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is expected to speak at the opening of a treatment center for foster children in Dallas Monday morning.
Abbott will attend and deliver remarks at the opening of the Rees-Jones Center for Foster Care Excellence at Children's Medical Center in Dallas at about 10:30 a.m.
The Rees-Jones Center was designed to help the nearly 80 percent of about 30,000 Texas foster children dealing with mental health issues.
With experts in pediatric medicine, behavioral health and child welfare on hand, the center will treat foster children up to 18 years old.
