Garland Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

    A Garland soldier is among four soldiers killed when enemy forces attacked their unit in Kunar province, Afghanistan.

    Pvt. Andrew M. Krippner, 20, died May 23. Also killed were Staff Sgt. Kristofferson B. Lorenzo, 33, of Chula Vista, Calif., Pfc. William S. Blevins, 21, of Sardinia, Ohio, and Pvt. Thomas C. Allers, 23, of Plainwell, Mich.

    All four soldiers were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
