Dallas Water Utilities officials are concerned about contamination over a request to drill for natural gas beside Grapevine Lake in Flower Mound.

Town leaders in Flower Mound won't allow two proposed gas well sites in the growing suburb.

After a seven hour meeting that lasted until 1:40 a.m., the Flower Mound gas board denied two permits that would have allowed a well in a residential area, and one near Lake Grapevine.
