A fire Friday afternoon engulfed two vehicles and damaged part of the exterior at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Oklahoma, officials say.[[367038511,L]]
Love County Fire Department crews were called at about 5 p.m. to the popular attraction in Thackerville, just across the Red River from North Texas.
WinStar general manager Wayne McCormick said nobody was injured in the fire, which took place in an area adjacent to the building.
The cause of the fire is unknown, and fire officials remained at the property Friday evening to monitor the situation and make sure there was no remaining threat.
While the fire took place outside of the building, the building's exterior did sustain minimal smoke damage, McCormick said.
