A body recovered from Eagle Mountain Lake Monday morning may be that of a missing man.

Officers with the Tarrant Regional Water District were called after a person spotted a body floating face down near Power Squadron Road.

Firefighters with the Azle Fire Department were dispatched and confirmed the person, a white male, to be deceased.

Officials said the man appeared to match a description of a missing person being sought in the area by the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department.

While the descriptions of the two men are consistent, a positive identification has not been released by police.

The Tarrant County medical examiner is investigating the man's death and will issue a formal report at a later time.
