Some people looking for information about voting were unable to access the website for the Dallas County Elections Department on Tuesday.
The website was down for much of the day, the agency reported.
A cause for the website outage was not released, but the agency said its technicians created a search tool that helped users find their voting location during the outage.
The website is managed by an outside vendor and is not connected to the Dallas County government website.
More than 1.2 million people are registered to vote in Dallas County.
