A smart phone app released by the Dallas Police Department last fall is leading to arrests.

iWatch Dallas lets people send anonymous tips to the police.   The tips have led to 35 arrests since the app was released to the public.

Through the app, uses can send the tips via text, with or without a photo or via email.

Even without the app, you can apparently text tips to 274-637 -- though texting isn't anonymous like the app's email option.

Of the 4,000 downloads, 640 tips have been sent to police.

We initially said the text number was 247-637. We regret the error.
