The Dallas Independent School District will be starting the construction of Jose "Joe" May Elementary School and hosting a groundbreaking ceremony Friday at 10 a.m.
Superintendent Mike Miles will host the event with DISD.
The ceremony will feature performances from students from Francisco "Pancho" Medrano Middle School. Superintendent Miles and Dallas City Councilman Adam Medrano will be speaking at the event.
Jose "Joe" May Elementary School will be the final campus built under the 2008 Bond Program. The school is located at 9818 Brockbank Drive.
