Fort Worth police are investigating a shooting after a report of a child accidentally shooting himself in the arm.
The call came in shortly before noon to a home on the 1400 block of Meadow Lane Terrace.
Fort Worth police said the woman told them her child shot himself with a gun she uses for home protection.
The child was transported to an area hospital in good condition.
Police have not said whether the child's parent will face any charges.
