Charges Against Ex-Spurs Player Robertson Dismissed

A judge has dismissed charges against former San Antonio Spurs player Alvin Robertson related to an alleged underage sex ring.

The San Antonio Express-News reported that state District Judge Jefferson Moore ruled on Monday that Robertson, who played with the Spurs from 1984-1989, was not guilty of charges of sexual assault of a child, trafficking an underage child for purposes of sex and forcing a sexual performance by a child.

"There was no ring. There were no girls. There was one girl who made up the whole story," Robertson's attorney Brent De La Paz said.

Robertson said Monday he was relieved.

"It's been a nightmare," he said. "I am glad to have it behind me."
