Remains Found May Belong To Starved Boy

Father & Stepmother Charged In Death

Polce may have recovered the body of an 11-year-old Dallas boy in Ellis County.  The exact location has not been made public.  It's believed the body belongs to Johnathan Ramsey.

In late March, Dallas police said Ramsey was starved to death. Officers arrested the boy's father Aaron and stepmother Elizabeth. NBC 5 obtained arrest affidavits that said the boy was starved as a form of punishment.  It happened between March and August of 2011.

Police said the Aaron Ramsey admitted to finding Johnathan on the floor unconscious and later dumping his son's body in Ennis.

Law enforcement began searching for the body three weeks ago and it was found Saturday morning.

The boy's grandmother told NBC 5 she believe her son Aaron is innocent. "I can't imagine Aaron letting that happen," said Julie Ramsey. ""He was his pride and joy. He wanted to be a father."
