The man saw the woman going into her home in the 2100 block of Marilyn Lane at about 9 a.m., approached her from behind with a knife and forced her inside, according to police.

Once inside, police said the man demanded money. After the victim complied, the man demanded more money and forced her into the bedroom where he took her heart pendant, beat her and tried to sexually assault her.

Police described the man as black, about 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and thin with a long goatee. They spent days putting together a composite sketch of the man.

"We think with this type of composite, how detailed it is, someone will recognize him as soon as they see it," Arlington Police Department's Officer Zhivonni McDonnell said.

Police asked that anyone with information about this aggravated assault call Det. Jacklyn Donalson at 817-459-5632 or Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS (8477).
