Police have arrested an Arlington man for shooting and killing his wife in a possible domestic violence incident early Saturday morning.
The Arlington Police Department said that Saturday at about 1:00 a.m. they responded to a shooting in the 5700 block of Chelmsford Trail, where they found, Asma Zafar who had been shot in the head.
Officials said that her husband, the alleged shooter, Ghufran Zafar had left the home by the time they arrived. The woman was pronounced dead.
While officers were still processing the scene, police said that the husband drove by the house and police were able to take him into custody without incident.
Police said that Ghufran was charged with one count of murder. In a press release, Arlington police said that investigators believe that this is a domestic disturbance incident.
