An Amber Alert issued for 10-year-old Jake Davis of Denton is over after the child was found safely Friday afternoon, Denton police say.

NBC 5 has learned that Williams' car was stopped in Bolivar, west of Sanger, in northern Denton County for a traffic violation.

Earlier in the day, the boy's mother and her boyfriend said they left the boy with his babysitter, Brandi Williams, and a friend on Thursday night. The boyfriend told NBC 5 the child called his mother to ask if he could go to the store with Williams and the pair hadn't been seen since.

Williams has been taken into custody. It is not yet known if Williams is expected to face any charges.

The boy's siblings were given to CPS during the Amber Alert.  There is no word on when Davis or his siblings will be returned to the family.

NBC 5's Brian Scott contributed to this report.
