Adamson High School Band Hopes to Win $100,000 Grant for Instruments

The W.H. Adamson High School band is one of 15 finalists nationwide for a $100,000 grant to pay for new instruments and equipment.

The band will need people to vote online before they can take the top spot.

Band members told NBC 5 that they are currently sharing instruments and that many of them are not in good shape.

The band plays at high school football games, competitions and various community events.

"The band does a lot for the school and the community in general," Jazzlyn Neria said. "This would be a great way for us to do more."
