2 Dallas Police Officers Fired Over Inappropriate Relationships

Two Dallas police officers have been fired following disciplinary hearings that determined both had inappropriate personal relationships.

Both officers can appeal Wednesday's firings by Chief David Brown.

Investigators say 41-year-old Sgt. Jorge Guzman, a 15 year veteran with the department, had an inappropriate relationship with a member of the Dallas Police Explorers. The group is made of up girls and boys, plus young adults, interested in law enforcement. The age range is 14 to 21 years old.

Officer Daniel Razo, a six year veteran of the department, was accused of associating with a prostitute and passing along law enforcement information. Razo was accused of using city equipment for unofficial business. Authorities say the 30-year-old Razo was also involved in a domestic disturbance call in Ellis County.

A message left with the Dallas Police Association for comment on the firings wasn't immediately returned Thursday.
