Authorities say a waste disposal truck driver has died after being struck in an accident at a landfill in the Texas Panhandle.
Amarillo police say 53-year-old Michael Shawn Lightfoot of Amarillo was dead at the scene.
Officials say Lightfoot, who worked for a private waste disposal contractor, was run over Tuesday afternoon while assisting a co-worker whose vehicle got stuck.
The driver of the rig that hit Lightfoot has not been charged.
