Texas and nationwide gasoline prices have declined an average 2 cents per gallon this week.
AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price at the pump statewide slipped to $1.87 per gallon. Drivers across the U.S. are paying an average $2.04 per gallon.
Dallas has the most expensive gasoline this week in Texas at an average $1.94 per gallon. The association survey found Amarillo with the cheapest gasoline statewide at $1.70 per gallon.
AAA officials say the switchover to summer-blend gasoline, which costs more to produce, has taken place and drivers could notice higher prices in coming weeks.
