Find Sizzling Summer Travel Deals

Travelers are finding the lowest prices in years on plane tickets for summer getaways.

"This is absolutely the best time I've ever seen," said Rick Seaney, of Dallas-based Farecompare.com.

Seaney said the deals are the result of airlines desperate to fill their seats in a weak economy.

A brand-new search feature on Farecompare revealed the following roundtrip prices for travel in the month of June. All fares are roundtrip from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport:

• Cancun, Mexico:  $247
• Freeport, Bahamas: $399
• Dublin, Ireland: $415
• Buenos Aires, Argentina: $539
• Rome: $621
• Zurich, Switzerland: $678

"These are ridiculously low prices," Seaney said.
