AW Brown Fellowship Leadership Academy's elementary school in Dallas was on lockdown while Ducanville and Dallas police searched for suspects in a possible armed robbery on Monday.

According to Dallas police, the charter school at 5701 Red Bird Center Dr. in Dallas was locked down at the request of police.

Police scanner traffic overheard by NBC 5 indicated that Duncanville police were pursuing an armed robbery suspect before the suspect crashed near W Red Bird and South Cockrell Hill Drive. The suspect fled from the crash, which is near the area of the school. That information has not yet been confirmed by Duncanville police.

All entries and exits from the school campus were closed as a precaution while investigators searched for the suspect.

The campus lockdown was lifted around 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
