The Girl Scouts of the USA have come up with a way to help parents tackle tough topics -- including teen suicide.

Given the recent popularity of Netflix's series 13 Reasons Why, a show that centers around a high school girl who takes her own life and leaves behind 13 tapes explaining why, the Girl Scouts devised a way "to improve communication between teens and the adults who can actually help them."

In their forum, the Girl Scouts armed parents with 13 reasons their children might be hesitant to talk to them about tough issues -- and more importantly, what they can do to spur a conversation.
