Someone went wacko on the Wookie.

Harrison Ford stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Wednesday night, where it seemed that the once-and-future Han Solo had a bone to pick with his erstwhile onscreen sidekick, Chewbacca.

As he chatted with Kimmel, Ford declined to answer questions about the wildly anticipated new "Star Wars" movie and his reported involvement in it. (When asked point-blank by a Chicago TV station last month whether he was coming aboard, he simply said, "I think it's happening.")

So Kimmel did the next best thing: He trotted out a bunch of audience members dressed up as "Stars Wars" characters--including Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia--to pose innocuous questions, all of which left the characteristically stoic actor unfazed. That is, until his Wookie cohort stood up to growl a question.

"You son of a bitch, what do you want?" Ford railed, immediately slipping into character as his cantankerous "Star Wars" alter ego.

"You're the one who couldn't keep it in your furry pants!" Ford added, to which Kimmel replied, "Actually, he doesn't wear pants."

"I rest my case!" wailed Ford, as he continued to chastise Chewie: "You're so full of s--t!"

When the host asked what led to their falling-out, the actor snarled, "He knows what he did. She was my wife, you Wookie sack of s--t!"

After he'd seemingly had enough, Ford proceeded to storm out of the studio: "I'm outta here! And you," he snarled, pointing to Chewbacca, "I'll see you in hell!"

Let's hope the two patch up their differences soon: On Wednesday, Disney chairman Alan Horn announced at Las Vegas' CinemaCon that the studio plans to release a new "Star Wars" movie every year starting 2015.

Disney will be kicking things off with "Star Wars VII," with the next two installments in the trilogy arriving every two years. In between, the studio plans to release spin-off films based on characters from George Lucas' sprawling sci-fi universe.

Preproduction on "Star Wars VII" is already ramping up: Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy told attendees at CinemaCon, where she was honored with the 2013 Pioneer of the Year award, that the creative team is in the process of locking down a screenplay.

"We're working on getting a script," she said, per published reports, adding that producers have been working with "Star Wars VII" director J.J. Abrams "every week."

"We're having a great time, and I think we're going to come up with something really wonderful," Kennedy said.

A new hope indeed.
