The Texas Rangers have set their pitching rotation for Cactus League games.
First in the rotation for the Rangers will be Colby Lewis. Lewis will be followed by Derek Holland, Alexi Ogando, Matt Harrison and Yu Darvish. Rangers blogger T.R. Sullivan said Lewis will face the Royals on March 4, Ogando will face the Royals on March 5 and Harrison will face the Diamondbacks on March 6.
The San Diego Padres will be the first major league opponent to face Japanese pitching sensation Yu Darvish, who will get his first spring start on March 7.
Darvish has thrown 20-30 pitches in bullpen sessions to Rangers batters most days since spring training began.
Darvish led the Japanese League in strikeouts the last two seasons and has a 93-38 record and 1.99 ERA in his career.
