Rangers Lineup Country Stars for ALDS Ceremonies

The first two games of the ALDS will feature not only some big names in country music and Texas Rangers history, but a touching tribute to a boy's fallen firefighter father.

Games 1 and 2 of the ALDS are Friday and Saturday and the Rangers have lined up country singers BJ Thomas and Neal McCoy to sing the National Anthem while Joel Lagrone and Jessica Bradbury will sing God Bless America during the 7th Inning Stretch.

On Friday the color guard will be the Arlington Police and Fire Departments color guard.  On Saturday it'll be the Air Force Honor Guard from Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls.

The first pitch Friday will be tossed out by Cooper Stone, the 6-year-old boy whose father died after a fall at the Ballpark earlier this season.  On Saturday, former players and minor league managers Bobby Jones (Round Rock) and Steve Buechele (Frisco) will take the mound.

Ceremonial first pitches take place about 12 minutes before the first pitch.  On Friday, first pitch is at 4:07 p.m. -- Saturday is 6:07 p.m.
