You Could Own This Handsome Sweater Made Famous by “The Big Lebowski”

After Mr. Rogers', it's probably the most iconic sweater in American pop culture, and now Jeff Lebowski's magnificent cardigan is going on the auction block.

The bidding on Lebowski's sweater is expected to open in the $4,000 to $6,000 range at the Hollywood Memorabilia Auction that begins Saturday in at the Saban Theatre (8440 Wilshire Blvd) in Los Angeles . But if don't despair if you're nowhere near The City of Angels, as bidding will be available online, as well, via icollector.

There's a bunch of other goodies--dozens of animation cels and other art from Disney, Johnny Depp's bear coat from "Dead Man," John Goodman's Fred Flintstone suit and Babe Ruth jersey and the electric chair from "The Green Mile--but the real prize is clearly the Dude's sweater.

And if $6,000 is more than you're ready to spend on a sweater, the nice folks who made the original master, Pendleton Woolen Mills, will soon be coming out with a re-issue for about $188 a pop.
