Jackman and Silverstone Are Gonna “Butter” Up

Hugh Jackman and Alicia Silverstone are the latest stars to join "Butter," the forthcoming film about the world of competitive butter sculpting, which is shaping up to be either an epic triumph or a legendary disaster.

"Butter," from a script by Jason Micallef, tells the story of a woman who tries to follow in her womanizing husband's footsteps by vying for the butter carving championship, but her dreams are threatened by a young black upstart. If that ll sounds awfully familiar, it's because the film is rumored to be a satirical metaphor for the 2008 Democratic primary.

Jennifer Garner, who is also producing the film, stars in the Hillary Clinton role, with Ty Burrell of "Modern Family" as Bill and newcomer Yara Shahidi, who starred as Eddie Murphy's daughter in last year's "Imagine That," as Obama.

The cast also includes Jim Gaffigan, Twilgihter Ashley Greene, Olivia Wilde and Rob Corddry, with Jim Field Smith ("She's Out of My League" directing. "Butter" started shooting in Louisiana this week.

The cast is packed, the concept is brilliant... fingers crossed.
