Brilliant but Cancelled "Party Down" Hitting the Big Screen
The Party Down gang is reuniting for a feature film!

"Party Down" is a perfect example of a show being the victim of its own success, as the actors showcased on the series were picked off one by one for bigger projects. But the gang is getting back together for a proper send-off.

"John Enbom is writing it right now, I’m excited about that," Megan Mullally told the Television Critics Association this weekend. Mullally starred on the show's second and final season, stepping in when Jane Lynch landed her role on "Glee."

The show followed a team of struggling actors working at a Los Angeles catering company, and was created by Enbom, Rob Thomas, Dan Etheridge and Paul Rudd, and starred Adam Scott ("Parks & Recreation"), Ken Marino, Mullally, Ryan Hansen, Martin Starr and Lizzy Caplan.

It was a hilarious look at the desperation and degradation suffered by people willing to endure just about anything in their quest for fame. But as great as the show was, it lacked a huge star and was kind of buried on the Starz channel, where few found it and fewer still watched.
