Testy Day at Cowboys Camp

On Sunday, Dallas saw their second fight of camp and Orlando Scandrick was ejected from practice

Sunday was a testy day of practice for the Dallas Cowboys.

First, the team saw their second fight of camp, with running back Phillip Tanner mixing it up with rookie linebacker (and SMU product) Taylor Reed. Punches were reportedly thrown back and forth, but, as these kind of fights usually go, the two were separated pretty quickly. Last week, running back Phillip Tanner got into a scrape with veteran linebacker Ernie Sims.

Then, cornerback Orlando Scandrick was ejected from the practice session after shoving an official out of the way while trying to make a play along the sidelines. Scandrick dismissed the incident as nothing too major, but admitted that he needs to mind his Ps and Qs moving forward.

It can’t happen,” Scandrick said, per ESPN Dallas. “Nobody needs to address it. I know what happens in this league and what can happen.”

Of course, if such an incident happened in the regular season, Scandrick would face a fine and/or a suspension by the league.
