Romo, Woods, First Day At Pebble Beach

The pair will open their second round today at Monterey Peninsula

The pairing of Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo and Tiger Woods finished their first day at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am at -7, and tied for 25th. Alone, Woods is at -4.

The two opened up their bid around noon on Thursday at Spyglass Hill Golf Club in Pebble Beach, and will play the Monterey Peninsula Country Club on Friday. The tournament actually contains two contests: One for the pro, in this case Woods, and one for the pairing of the pro and his amateur playing partner.

Woods and Romo are playing with Arjun Atwal and the amateur Danny Lane.

Perhaps the most interesting tidbit of the first day comes way of the PGA’s Twitter account, via the Dallas Morning News: Romo’s caddie, who is a Giants fan, purportedly told Romo that he is in need of more help around him on the Cowboys.
