For leading the Dallas Cowboys to a come-from-behind overtime victory over the San Francisco 49ers, all with a fractured rib and collapsed lung, quarterback Tony Romo is up for some player of the week honors.
The team said Tuesday that Romo has been nominated for the FedEx Air Player of the Week and for the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week. He was 20-33 for 345 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
For the FedEx Air player of the week, Romo is up against Tom Brady and Matt Stafford. Should Romo win, FedEx will donate $2,000 in his name to local Junior Achievement offices.
For the GMC player of the week nomination, he's up against Le Garrette Blount and Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Fans can vote on the winners at NFL.com/FedEx and NFL.com/GMC until Friday. FedEx voting is until 2 p.m. while GMC voting ends at 11 a.m. The winners will be announced later that day on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.
