Romo: Cowboys Won't Be Scoreboard Watching On Saturday

If the Giants lose to the Jets Saturday, the Cowboys can clinch the division with a win over the Eagles

By the time the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles kick off at 3:15 PM this Saturday, there’s a good chance that we’ll already know whether or not the Giants won their matchup with the Jets, and in turn, whether the Cowboys will be able to clinch the division with a victory over Philly.

But according to quarterback Tony Romo, the Cowboys won’t be focused on that, even if the Giants-Jets game goes final in time for Dallas to take notice. Romo told reporters this week--and we tend to agree with him here--that the Cowboys would be better served by focusing solely on their opponents Saturday. You know, the guys that roughed them up 34-7 in their meeting in Philly earlier this year.

"We don't think about anything other than just playing these guys this week," Romo said, per the Dallas Morning News. "It's literally nothing less or more than that. We're out here to beat the Eagles, that's all we can control. That's what we're going to go out and do, and it gives us the best chance to win."
