Report: Peyton Manning Doesn't Want To Go To Washington

If a report Thursday is to be believed, Manning won't be joining his brother in the NFC East

There was a flurry of reports this week that suggested that the Washington Redskins were interested in pursuing free agent quarterback Peyton Manning, but according to a report today, the feeling isn’t mutual.

Chris Russell of ESPN 980 in Washington was on SportsCenter today, where he described said that, according to multiple sources, Manning not only doesn’t have any interest in joining the Redskins, but that he has already informed the team of as much.

“A couple of different sources inside the organization have told me that Manning’s camp made it pretty clear to Redskins officials he doesn’t want to come here,” said Russell, via ProFootballTalk.com. “… There’s lots of reasons for that.

“His brother Eli, the colder weather, the whole situation down in Miami and so on and so forth. But unless that changes—and I’m taking my sources at their word—I don’t think Manning’s coming here to D.C.”

Which is good news for the Cowboys, a team that has had their fair share of trouble dealing with the one Manning already in the division.
