Jones: Cowboys Think the World of Anthony Spencer

Stephen Jones says the Cowboys remain pretty high on Anthony Spencer

The Dallas Cowboys are playing the waiting game where defensive end Anthony Spencer is concerned, but the team is reportedly open to bringing the former first round pick back.

Spencer is still without a contract, after playing last year under the franchise tag. Actually, he only appeared in one game, recording a pair of tackles before being sidelined once again with knee injuries, and he eventually had to undergo microfracture surgery.

The Purdue product is still recovering from that procedure.

"We think the world of Anthony," said Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones, per ESPN Dallas. "Hopefully he’ll get where he needs to be. I’d like to hope he’d get healthy and play for us."
