Jerry Says Cowboys Are NOT Rebuilding

Jerry Jones says the Cowboys are not in rebuild mode

Dallas Cowboys’ owner and general manager Jerry Jones doesn’t want to hear the word “rebuilding” when discussing his football team.

Jones acknowledges that the team is getting a bit of a makeover, particularly along the defensive line. But he says the team is still in a win-now mode, because they happen to have the right quarterback at the moment in Tony Romo.

Jones was recently asked if the Cowboys were rebuilding.

“Not at all,” Jones said, per ESPN Dallas. “Not at all. You don’t rebuild with Tony Romo. The firepower we have on offense and where we are with our running backs, and our receivers…you don’t rebuild with an offense that’s got the capability we’ve got. We didn’t bring (Scott) Linehan in here to rebuild.

“We’re not rebuilding. We are, by necessity, having to revamp the defensive line.”
