Fantasy Land: Stud and Dud for Week 11

In what will be a weekly occurence, we'll give suggestions on who to start in your fantasy league, and who to sit on the bench. We'll try to avoid stating the obvious, like "start Tom Brady" and dig a little deeper for some less obvious choices. Enough with the introduction, let's get started...

Stud of the Week: Carson Palmer, QB, OAK — The Minnesota Vikings have had one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL all season. But last week it got even worse when Antoine Winfield, one of the top cornerbacks in the league, was lost for the season. That bodes well for the Oakland Raiders and Palmer, who was traded to Oakland in Week 7 after sitting the first part of the season as a de facto member of the Bengals. He's been pretty darn good since the trade, specifically last week when he torched the San Diego Chargers. Look for him to have another good game and get him in your lineup.

Dud of the Week: Chris Johnson, RB, TEN — Unfortunately, you probably are in the position to bench CJY2K even though he hasn't performed like a starting running back this season. But if you are lucky enough to have picked up some other guys that have performed better, don't let last week's performance from Johnson fool you. Johnson faces a Falcons defense that has allowed just five touchdowns to running backs this season and hasn't allowed a 100-yard rusher yet. CJY2K is going to be back to the CJY2K of the first nine weeks of the season, and that's not a good thing for his fantasy owners.
