Deconstructing An Ugly Season at JerryWorld

Unless you made it out to JerryWorld on November 21 for the match-up against Detroit, or took a sojourn to another NFL city, you haven’t seen the Dallas Cowboys win this season. Dallas is a woeful 1-6 at home this year, and Sunday’s game against Washington will be their final home game of the season, meaning that, at best, Dallas will muster two home wins in 2010.

It’s not as though Dallas has been throttled in the House that Jerry Built this year.

Aside from the team’s 35-17 loss to Jacksonville on Halloween, Dallas hasn’t lost a game at home by more than a touchdown. Unfortunately for Dallas, however, these are neither horseshoes nor hand grenades, and the team is playing for little other than pride.

To put all this ugliness in perspective, our Adam Boedeker, who is to Texas high school football what Stephen Hawking is to physics type things, pointed out that two 5A teams--Denton Guyer and Euless Trinity--already have two victories a piece at JerryWorld this year.

This weekend, with their respective state title games against Cibolo Steele and Pearland, they will have an opportunity to do what the Cowboys could not this season--win three games at JerryWorld.
