Bennett On Cowboys: “I Kind Of Got Some Ill Feelings Towards Them”

Martellus Bennett signed with the Giants this offseason after spending four years in Dallas

Martellus Bennett is cool with his old team, but at the same time, he’s not cool with his old team.

The New York Giants reported for training camp in Albany, NY, today, and the defending champs’ newest tight end, Bennett quickly drew a line in the sand between himself and his old mates in Dallas. Asked about playing Dallas--the Cowboys will open the regular season in New York on September 5--the man known as Marty B didn’t pull any punches.

"I just want to kick those guys' asses," Bennett said, per ESPN Dallas. "That is what it is all about. I mean we are cool but we ain't that cool, know what I am saying? I kind of got some ill feelings towards them overall. It is a game, I kind of hate everybody, honestly, in the NFL."

Bennett elaborated on his initial remarks to say that he only hates the Cowboys because they’re not the Giants--nothing personal or anything--and that, indeed, he hates each of the 31 teams in the NFL that don’t pay his checks.

"I have ill feelings toward everybody," he said. "It is not just Dallas. Pretty much anybody who doesn't play with us, I pretty much don't like 'em. I don't like a lot of people. I am kind of an (expletive) but it is cool."
