Uptown's Geisha House is the Sake Bomb

Not many people have the resources lately to visit a traditional geisha house, called okiya, in Japan. Uptown Dallas is a much closer commute for many North Texans, and Geisha House is the newest sushi restaurant offering up a taste of the exotic in more ways than one.

“What we offer at Geisha House is contemporary Japanese fusion, vibrant sushi with an upscale teppanyaki. We want to give our dining guests as many options as possible,” General Manager and Sake Sommelier, Aron Arsen said.

The peeps at Geisha House have finally solved the problem for sushi fans when it comes to choosing a place for dinner when eating with friends who don't like it raw. Hungry diners can post up at one of six hibachi grills and order classic chicken fried rice to accompany their Kirin Japanese Beer.

A short stumble down a narrow hallway and guests find themselves at Roppongi Lounge, named after the district in Tokyo known for its club scene. With 42 artisan-style Japanese sakes on the list, including Dreamy Clouds and Wandering Poet, and a late night menu offered until 12 a.m., Roppongi Lounge alone is worth a trip to Geisha House.

“We are very big on being humble here at Geisha House. We are very, very big on wrapping our arms and just inviting all of Dallas … anybody and everybody is part of our family here,” Arsen said.
