Romo: “I Feel Like I Let Our Team Down”

Tony Romo threw three interceptions in the Cowboys 28-18 loss to the Redskins Sunday night

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo watched an improbable opportunity to take his team to the playoffs slip through his fingers on Sunday night, as he threw three interceptions in the team’s 28-18 loss to the playoff-bound Washington Redskins.

"It does not feel good," Romo said after the loss, per ESPN Dallas. "I feel like I let our team down."

Well, yeah. It’s not as though Romo had a bad year; but as it seemingly always does with Romo, it ended on a sour note. The strides he made in 2012, however, aren’t lost on head coach Jason Garrett.

"Well, he's played really well in a lot of these big games in his career," Garrett said. "We just haven't gotten it done as a football team. Tony's certainly a part of that, but everybody's a part of that. We just have to try to get better. We have to get ourselves in this kind of position again."
