Felix Hernandez won a Cy Young award in a season that barely saw him clear double-digit wins. Now, we all know wins for pitchers are overrated, but that's still a pretty impressive thing to think about.
He's one of the best pitchers in the game thanks to his upper-90s fastball and sick array of off-speed pitches coupled with the killer instinct to go with his tatted up look that includes a really sweet neck tat.
As awesome as "King Felix" is, the Texas Rangers have owned the veteran hurler this season. That trend continued in a big way on Wednesday when he was chased before recording an out in the fourth inning and charged with eight earned runs after giving up five earned a week and a half ago to the Rangers and lasting five innings.
Think about this: The Rangers have faced Hernandez twice in less than two weeks and have scored 27 runs in those two games.
Wednesday's loss to Texas marked the 20th setback to the Rangers in his career, the most losses he has to any team.
“Be aggressive,” Andrus told ESPNDallas.com when asked the Rangers' recipe for success against the hurler.
Hernandez wasn't pleased with his outing, firing his gum to the turf as he approached the dugout after falling behind 8-0 in the fourth inning and then hurling his glove at the dugout wall.

“That was embarrassing. Terrible,” Hernandez said. “I was a little bit up. Everything I threw, they hit.”
Hernandez is now 0-4 this season with a 7.57 ERA against the Rangers and even after those last two times out against Texas he still has a sub-3.00 ERA. That shows you the accomplishment the Rangers have had this year against him. It's just too bad the Rangers are done with the Mariners for this season.
