For the second time in this 107th World Series, the Texas Rangers boarded a charter flight at DFW International Airport bound for St. Louis.
Players and their families began filing into the charter terminal at the airport Tuesday afternoon well ahead of the 2 p.m. scheduled departure time. The team should arrive in St. Louis at 3:30 p.m. If you want to track the flight, the flight callsign is AA9403.
Games 1 and 2, both played in the Gateway City, were split 1-1. The Cardinals and Rangers returned to the Ballpark in Arlington for Games 3, 4 and 5, with the Rangers winning the last two.
Now, with a 3-2 series lead, the World Series heads back to Busch Stadium for the conclusion.
Game 6 of the World Series is Wednesday at 7:05 p.m ... and with any luck, that'll be it. Should the Rangers lose, Game 7 will be played Thursday, also in St. Louis.
That is, of course, barring any rain delay. Rain is heavily forecasted for the St. Louis area Wednesday and may force a delay, pushing Game 6 to Thursday and Game 7, if necessary, to Friday.
