DeMarco Murray is back, and none-too-soon for quarterback Tony Romo. The old truism is that an effective runner is a quarterback’s best friend, and it seems that Romo is no exception to the rule.
“He’s an explosive back that (has) the ability to put his head down and get extra yards,” Romo said, per the Dallas Morning News. “As a play-caller and as a quarterback, he gives you a lot of options when you stay ahead of the chains.”
Murray, who missed six games with some extensive ligament damage in his foot, says he’s been feeling better over the last few weeks.
“I feel good,” Murray told reporters after the win on Sunday. “Slowly but surely I’m starting to feel better. It’s still a long process.”
